His body was flown to Seattle to be buried beside his father in Lake View Cemetery just two weeks before he was supposed to marry fiancée Eliza Hutton. \'The Crow\' was later released as a tribute to Brandon, with computer animation used to complete his scenes

His brother, Joaquin, was also present at the scene, along with River\'s then-girlfriend, actress Samantha Mathis. Marvin Sr was sentenced to six years of probation after pleading guilty to manslaughter. Charges of first-degree murder were dropped after doctors discovered Marvin Sr had a brain tumour. Spending his final years in a retirement home, he died of pneumonia in 1998
