Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly with twins Thomas and Zoe
Vantage Point star Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly had twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace on 8 November 2007. The babies were carried by a surrogate mother, but are Dennis and Kimberly\'s biological children. There was grave concern for the twins when they were given an accidental overdose of the medication heparin, a blood thinner, while they were in hospital with infections when they were newborns. Fortunately the twins recovered, but Quaid has an ongoing lawsuit against the company which manufactures heparin, and has spoken to the US congress about the dangers of accidental overdoses which he claims is due to the medication\'s unclear packaging. Quaid also has a 15-year-old son with his ex-wife romcom star Meg Ryan.
