Legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent has died in Paris aged 71. Pierre Berge, the designer's former business and personal partner, said he had died at his home after a long illness but gave no further details. Laurent retired from designing haute couture in 2002 and it is believed he had been ill for some time. Earlier this weekend it was announced that Naomi Campbell has signed a £200,000 deal to become the face of the company. After being charged last week in connection with an alleged air rage episode earlier this year at Heathrow airport, she's set to replace Kate Moss at the famous fashion house starting with the company's autumn/winter 2008 campaign. "I'm blessed and grateful to be working with YSL again, a house that gave me a start in my career," the model said in a statement.
