Sherlock Holmes film have started rumours amongst the crew that the film is cursed, sources have told
the Sun. On Friday 29th November 2008 cast and crew, including star
Jude Law, had to flee after a petrol tanker exploded near the set. Earlier in the week star of the film
Robert Downey Jr, who plays Holmes, was knocked unconscious during a fight scene. A nurse on set at Chatham dockyard in Kent gave him six stitches in his mouth. “Robert was accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold," a source told the Sun. “He didn’t want to go to hospital and kept trying to get up. He’s a trooper. But there have been lots of other problems too. The crew have started joking about the curse of Sherlock Holmes.”

Britney Spears banned the judges from her dressing room during her recent X Factor appearance. Simon Cowell and his fellow X Factor judges were banned from entering Britney Spears’ dressing room when she appeared on the talent show last weekend, sources have told the Sun. Insiders say the 26-year-old was accompanied to the TV studios by a huge entourage for Saturday’s taping who stopped the judges dropping in to say hello. “You have never seen so many heavies. Even [the area] around the judges\' dressing rooms was sealed off by Britney\'s security people. When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn\'t let anyone past,” a source told the paper before claiming Britney hadn’t watched the contestant’s performances. “Everyone was stunned she admitted that she hadn\'t watched the show. There\'s a TV in the dressing room.” Cowell claimed that although he had to wait ten minutes before meeting Britney, the Womanizer singer was in awe of him. The X Factor judge explained to The Mirror, “She was just staring at me. I said ‘Touch me, I’m human,’ and I think that broke the ice.”

Patrick Swayze slammed reports that he is close to losing his battle with pancreatic cancer this week. Patrick Swayze has called reports that he is close to death “shoddy and reckless reporting”. Tabloids in the US recently claimed the actor was "on his last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family" after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. “Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease and from the moment I was diagnosed, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. It\'s a battle, and so far, I\'ve been winning. I\'m one of the lucky few that responds well to treatment,” Swayze said in a statement given to People magazine. "It\'s upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I\'m fighting. For me, my family, and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty. That makes me angry when hope is so precious."
