What a week for Katie Price news. First she was accused of ruining her friend Gary Cockerill’s wedding day by swearing her way through a karaoke performance. Sources told the Sun Katie caused offence when she took to the mic for a version of Whitney Houston’s classic I Have Nothing. "The woman is insane. She said she wouldn\'t sing live because there were too many c**ts there who would enjoy hearing her sing off key. She said we were all c**ts,” a source claimed. "Then she said Peter was a \'f**king a**ehole\'. People were walking out. She ruined everything. The couple had their first dance to her miming." Later in the week, the reality TV star endeared herself to the public by comparing Peter Andre to a wife-beater. Referring to comments by Andre where he branded his estranged wife “disgusting” and “a disgrace”, the former glamour model returned fire by claiming he was using their split to boost his record sales. “I would never slate the father of my children like he has done to me in the last few weeks. How dare he call me disgusting?” the Daily Star reported Price telling a friend. “Why should I be the pawn in his desperate publicity drive for his music? As for what Pete has said about me recently, well, this is like wife beating.” How’s she going to top this?

Britney Spears: Mum of the year?

After the problems of the last few years Britney Spears seemed to be getting her life back together but she found herself in hot water again this week when she was criticised in the US after her sons were overheard swearing. The children, Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, are said to have surprised guests at a recent VIP event when they were overheard shouting “oh, s**t” to each other, although it’s their mother’s behaviour that has attracted the most criticism. “She was too busy picking out freebies to chastise the boys for misbehaving,” an insider told the New York Daily News. “We were all surprised by their potty mouths, but it was actually pretty funny.” Recently, Britney blamed the children’s swearing on their father, Kevin Federline. “The boys are starting to learn words like “stupid”, and Preston says the f-word now sometimes,” Britney told Rolling Stone magazine. “He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.” Hmmm.

Actress and Primrose Hill matriarch Sadie Frost branded ex-husband Jude Law “irresponsible” for getting part-time American model Samantha Burke, pregnant during a brief fling, insiders said this week. Sadie is reportedly furious with the message Jude’s actions are sending to the couple’s three children. “It’s really hard for the children and they’re her main concern,” a source told the Daily Express. “She is deep down furious with Jude not for having the fling but for being irresponsible - and wants him to pay whatever it takes to keep the family protected from further embarrassment. Jude’s children, particularly Raffie, are bewildered by the whole thing. They hate seeing their dad in the news and reading about his private life. Fashion visionary or try-hard wannabe? The jury is still out for Lady GaGa but even her harshest critic had to doff their cap at her recent Kermit the Frog outfit. GaGa wore the outfit during a recent interview with German television, claiming it was actually a statement against the fur industry. "The Kermit the Frog outfit is by an incredible designer by the name of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and he does a lot of museum art fashion pieces," GaGa told US radio show Ryan Seacrest. "I really loved this one in particular because I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, cos I hate fur and I don\'t wear fur. We were all laughing at the house because it looks like a pile of dead Kermits." Kudos.

Michael Jackson’s death continued to be big news this week when former Oliver star, close friend of Michael and godfather to his children, Mark Lester, suggested to the News Of The World that he may be Paris\' biological father and was prepared to take a paternity test. The Jackson family were quick to shoot down his claims. "The thing I always heard from Michael was that Michael was the father of these children, and I believe Michael," Jackson family spokesman Brian Oxman told GMTV. "Mark Lester is a friend of mine - he is a straight shooter. I think what Mark said is what he understands - he was told these things. That\'s what Michael wanted it to be. But Michael always told me he was the papa." Wait, what, Mark Lester a straight shooter? That’s not the phrase we’d use to describe someone who sells his story to a newspaper, ignoring the feelings of an 11-year-old girl grieving the loss of her dad.

Although she’s famous for her boho look, Sienna Miller revealed this week she looks "ridiculous sometimes." The actress and designer told OK magazine. "I don’t define style. I don\'t think there\'s any definition. I suppose ‘just dress for yourself and not for anyone else\' is probably the best thing. I look ridiculous sometimes, but if I feel happy in it, then that\'s all that matters." The GI Joe star also revealed her favourite shop for style bargains – LA vintage store The Way We Wore.

Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes said she would seek professional help this week after recovering from an attempted overdose of pills and alcohol. Hayes was rushed to hospital last week after reportedly downing paracetamol and wine following a row with her boyfriend, footballer Matt Bates. "It\'s so frightening to think I could have died the other day. I was at my absolute lowest and I\'m desperate not to go there again," Chanelle told the Daily Star. "I\'m going to get some help definitely. I\'ll do whatever it takes. I can\'t just keep trying to run away from my problems. It\'s as if I\'ve been given a second chance and that means getting help and sorting myself out." Good for you, Chanelle.
