The pair were accused of causing anger and complaints on a flight to Japan by getting stuck into an 11-hour bender together, The Sun report. Liam and Lily were travelling to the annual Fuji Rocks festival on board a Virgin Atlantic flight and sources say they were repeatedly told to calm down. "They did not care about the other passengers. They were in a world of their own," an airline source claimed. "They were well-oiled by the time they came on board. R&B star Rihanna again had to deny she had reunited with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown this week. Rumours of their reconciliation are rife after the pair - who an LA judge ordered to stay apart last month after Chris pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in February - both stayed at Manhattan’s Trump International Hotel and Tower over the weekend. “The two spent the weekend at the same luxury Midtown hotel under a cloak of secrecy,” a New York Post source claimed. “They spent the next two days coming and going in separate chauffeured vehicles from the underground garage of the 52-story Columbus Circle building.” However, Rihanna’s spokesman insisted the rumours are not true. “This was a coincidence,” she explained. “She’s stayed there before as have thousands of people.”

After a couple of years out of the limelight Mischa Barton has been barely out of the news this week, and all it took was a rumoured drug meltdown. The actress was placed under psychiatric hold on 15 July but checked out of Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday. This week her stylist claimed Mischa has been drinking since she was just 14-years-old. “She was on the path to self-destruction - it was just a question of when she was going to be ready to do something about it,” stylist Stacey Kives told Heat magazine. “Mischa has been drinking since she was about 14, and she doesn’t drink to have fun any more – she drinks not to feel anything. But I think this last episode has scared her straight. She finally sounds like she’s seeing reality.”

The mystery surrounding Michael Jackson’s death rumbled on this week with the news that police and Drug Enforcement Administration agents seized computers and mobile phones from Jackson’s personal physician’s, Dr Conrad Murray, Las Vegas home. "The search warrant authorised investigators to look for medical records relating to Michael Jackson and all of his reported aliases," Murray’s attorney Edward Chernoff said in a statement. Murray was with Jackson when the singer was taken ill and is now being investigated for manslaughter. Chernoff added that Murray is cooperating fully with the investigation and had helped agents with their search.
