Tom Cruise Scientology video “good publicity”

You might think the leaked video of Tom Cruise laughing maniacally and making wild claims about Scientology would have damaged the religion’s reputation. Well you’d be wrong, according to senior Scientologists it was actually “good publicity”. A spokesman told New York Daily News’ Page Six column, “The clip on the internet was nine minutes long. It was edited to make Tom look really crazy,” they explained. “Having presented these selective and out of context excerpts with the intent of creating both controversy and ridicule resulted in people searching for Church of Scientology Web sites.” If you had trouble following the video fellow celebrity Scientologist Kirstie Alley might have the answer. "Tom was using words meant for a Scientology audience. It's like a rabbi addressing a Christian church, speaking in Hebrew. No one would understand him." Oh…huh?
