Tiger Woods has spoken out to defend his new Nike advert, calling the TV spot "very apropos". The advert has drawn criticism since its launch in the US for appearing to cash in on the golfer's recent scandals. During the commercial Earl Woods, who died in 2005, is heard saying, "I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are and did you learn anything.""It's what my dad would say," Tiger explained during a press conference. "It's amazing how my dad can speak to me in different ways even when he's long gone. Any son who lost a father who meant so much in their life, I think, would understand the spot."
