The Dark knight has shattered opening weekend box office records in the US to make it the biggest debut weekend opening ever. To add to the amazing reviews it has already recieved, the Heath Ledger and Christian Bale starring film took a massive $155.34million (£72.5million) from Friday to Sunday beating the previous record of $151.1million held by Spiderman 3. The film opens here in the UK on Friday.
