There, that wasn’t so bad was it! After admitting only yesterday that they were petrified the fully reformed, five strong Spice Girls returned the live stage in Vancouver last night. They treated the 15,000 strong crowd, including David Beckham, to a two hour, eight costume changes, 22 song set and so far the reviews have been great. The Vancouver Sun said, “it was about great entertainment. And the girls delivered the spice.” And Canada’s Globe and Mail gushed about how the band “whipped the crowd into a crazed state!” In fact, the only small dot on their copybook seems to have been Victoria’s performance during the girl’s solo numbers section. Each of the band sung one of their solo hits - Emma sang Maybe, Geri opted for It’s Raining Men with Mel C blazing through I Turn To You - while Mel B choose to cover Lenny Kravitz’ Are You Gonna Go My Way? Posh Spice decided against singing and bemused the fans by instead doing a bizarre catwalk style trot down the stage. It could’ve been worse though, she could’ve sung!
