Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire swept the Golden Globes in LA last night, taking home four trophies including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. The drama about an orphan from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian Who Wants To Be A Millionaire won every category that it was nominated in. Kate Winslet also appeared to have the Midas touch on the night as she took home two awards, for Best Actress in Revolutionary Road and Best Supporting Actress in The Reader.

Best Actor (Drama): Mickey Rourke for The Wrestler

Best Actress (Musical/Comedy): Sally Hawkins for Happy-Go-Lucky
Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight – the award was picked up by The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan
