Sharon Stone has complained about recent reports that she insulted Oscar winner Meryl Streep in an interview with Tatler magazine. During the interview, Stone described Streep as an "unmade bed" and said her success is because people can relate to her.
Stone, however, has insisted she was actually trying to pay Streep a compliment. "It is not okay with me for someone to take a statement I made with good-natured intent and to try and make it into something politically incorrect," she told Popeater. "My love and support for what Streep represents for women right now is extraordinarily important."
In 2008, Sharon was forced to apologise after saying that earthquakes that devastated China's Sichuan province could be "karma" for the country's poor human rights record.
