Cynthia Nixon, famous for playing lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the Sex And The City TV shows and film, has confirmed she is engaged to long-term girlfriend Christine Marinoni. Nixon and the education activist started dating in 2003 after the actress ended her 15-year marriage to Danny Mozes, the father of her two children. The couple announced their happy news at a rally for gay marriage in New York yesterday. "I think we would definitely [get married] if it became legal in New York,” Nixon told Access Hollywood last year. "I don’t really want to get married to get married pretend. I think we’d like to do it in a real, actual, legal way that the state would recognise."
