Robbie Williams has denied reports that he is engaged to girlfriend Ayda Field, despite his mother Jan apparently confirming the news in an interview on Friday. Talk that the couple were planning to tie the knot started on Friday morning following Robbie's appearance on Sydney's 2Day FM. After being told that the Australian city had a reputation for celebrity proposals, Robbie turned to Field, who had joined him in the studio, and said, "Ayda Field, I love you so much. Do you mind being my betrothed for the end of time?" Field laughed and duly accepted. Later the same day, Robbie's mum Jan admitted she, "was really pleased for the couple. I've always wanted a daughter-in-law," during an interview with Radio 5 Live.However, Robbie put paid to the rumours in a post on his official website.
