Robbie Williams and Olly Murs have become friends and “text and call each other all the time”, a friend of the X Factor contestant has told Now magazine. The pair met recently when Robbie appeared on the show to perform new single Bodies and offer his expert advice to the pop hopefuls. "They text and call each other all the time. Even if Olly doesn't win the show, he knows he's got a good friend in Robbie now,” Murs’ friend Jon Goodey claims. "Robbie's got a real soft spot for Olly because he can see himself in him. They're very similar. They're both great showmen, but also quite insecure behind closed doors. Like Robbie, Olly doesn't always realise just how talented he is."
Meanwhile, Robbie’s former band mate Gary Barlow has revealed the pair got together recently to watch a Take That tour DVD. "I said, 'Rob do you fancy having a listen?' I was up at his house one night having some sushi with him and I said 'shall we have a watch?'” Gary told GMTV. "I said to him, 'Listen, flick through the bits you don't want to watch', but we watched the whole thing and he loved it. And it was so nice to see him enjoying what we're doing."
