Rihanna has asked the police to give her back jewellery they took to use as evidence in their investigation into her alleged assault at the hands of on/off boyfriend in February. Police took earrings and three rings from the singer, the items - which were on loan from a shop - are worth over £1million, the BBC report. "Apparently, initially, the police felt that it would be needed as evidence. Now the belief is that photographs would be more than sufficient," Rihanna's lawyer Donald Etra explained. "That being the case, we're asking the District Attorney to return the pieces." The shop which owns the jewellery is believed to have requested the goods back as soon as possible. Brown, who denies all charges, was charged with assault and making criminal threats in March, he is due to appear in court again on Wednesday 29 April.
