Rihanna has been subpoenaed to testify in court, her lawyer Donald Etra has confirmed. The singer is due to appear in court on 22 June when her ex, Chris Brown, answer charges that he attacked Rihanna in February. "Rihanna was served at my office by LA District Attorney investigators," Etra told People magazine. "If the preliminary hearing indeed goes forward, she is now legally required to be there, she will be there, and will answer all questions truthfully."
Criminal defence attorney Jeffrey Rubenstein told the magazine that the star's testimony could "make or break the case" against Brown. In other news, Brown is said to be terrified after receiving death threats. The Chicago Sun-Times claims Brown has received a number of threats from an organisation called the Women's Protection Action League.
