Rihanna’s lawyer has revealed the singer did not think that the ‘stay-away’ order given to her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown was necessary. Yesterday, Brown admitted assaulting Rihanna in February this year and was given 5 years probation, fines, six months community service, a year-long domestic violence course and ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna as part of a deal to plead guilty and avoid going to prison. However, Rihanna’s not pleased. "Rihanna requested that there only be a protective order, namely that Chris be ordered not to annoy, molest, or harass her,” Donald Etra, her lawyer, told Entertainment Weekly. "Rihanna did not feel that a stay-away order was necessary in this case. The current order lasts for five years, although the judge said that after Chris is sentenced in August, she would consider reducing the full stay-away order to a limited protective order."
