Rihanna is said to have fled Hollywood after explicit photos of her posing naked were leaked on to the internet.
The pictures show a scantily clad woman posing in front of a mirror with the message, “I love you Robyn. I miss you,” scrawled on it. Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Fenty. However, the authenticity of the images has been questioned as the camera obscures the singer’s face.
A friend of Rihanna’s told the News Of The World, “She is freaking out. She was on the road to recovery after a few terrible months,” adding, “She has no idea how these pictures have been leaked but she’s determined to find out. She's rushed off to Hawaii to escape the scrutiny. She's recording her new album and wants to shut herself in the studio away from the world for a few days.”
This new scandal causes yet more misery for the singer, as her ex-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, faces charges for an alleged assault on Rihanna. One of the images shows a man, believed to be Chris Brown, sitting in a hotel room with a pair of pink knickers on his head. It was originally reported that Brown was responsible for the leak, but the artist has denied these rumours, stating that he had nothing to do with the scandal. “This is both a false and defamatory statement. Chris (Brown) has not released or ‘leaked’ any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter),” his spokesman said.
Rihanna’s label, Island Def Jam, demanded that the photos be taken down as they “violate the artist’s rights” while her lawyers have stopped short of denying the pictures are genuine. Rihanna is yet to release a statement.
