Super-chef Gordon Ramsay has apologised again for calling Australian TV host Tracy Grimshaw an “ugly old pig”. Ramsay made the comments at the Melbourne’s Good Food and Wine Festival over the weekend after an appearance on Grimshaw’s show A Current Affair. A spokesman for the chef issued a statement yesterday apologising for his comments but after criticism from Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and his own mum, Gordon went on record himself to say sorry. "Tracy, where do I start? First of all, you've shown me great respect and amazing support over the last three or four years and I'd just like to take this opportunity to apologise for the stupid comments,” Ramsay told Nine Network Australia. “I am deeply mortified that the whole thing has gone this far. My apologies. I accept full responsibility and I want to put it to bed. Humble pie is something that from this day on I'll be eating for breakfast for the rest of my life. It was stupid and it was very careless, but it was not there to hurt in any way. I've had my mum on the phone this morning. When your mum rings you and it's a b****cking down the telephone then of course you start to get the picture. She was disgusted and she wanted to know what actually happened."
