Hollywood A-lister Nicole Kidman has been criticised by a New York Post writer who claims the pregnant actress had a glass of white wine at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday. Cindy Adams wrote in her column, "Boozing backstage during the Oscarcast is a no-no. But if you're pregnant Nicole Kidman it's a yes-yes. She wanted white wine." The as yet unproven claim has sparked a furore on the internet, including hundreds of comments on celebrity blog perezhilton.com, deriding the actress for potentially harming her unborn child. However, critics of Kidman may be overreacting, Dr Dan Rutherford of netdoctor.co.uk says that the advice for pregnant women in the UK is to "drink no more than one to two units of alcohol once or twice a week."
