Police are currently on the look out for the thief who heartlessly stole three pairs of specially designed trainers from children's cancer charity Teenage Kicks 2008 - one of which were designed by Pete Doherty.
One of the organisers said, "It is truly unbelievable that anyone would steal from a charity event, surely the idea is to give on such an occasion. Was it not enough that the event was free, and could they have not just enjoyed the fantastic festivities of the event. Some folks choose to be a little less than charitable and actually felt it necessary to walk off with several pairs of shoes. The event was meant to raise awareness and much needed money for teenage cancer trust. This is very disheartening."
The Police are investigating the stolen artworks and currently browsing CCTV and video footage. Anyone with information should contact Bethnal Green Police Station on 020 8217 4980 quoting crime reference number 4216066/08.
Three pairs of the shoes still missing by the following artists: Pete Doherty, Johnny Lazer and Twinkle & Tinsel
