Samantha Geimer, who was sexually assaulted by Roman Polanski in 1977, has asked the courts to dismiss charges against the director. Geiman was just 13 years old when Polanski had sex with her. The director subsequently pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor in 1978 but fled the country before being sentenced. He’s currently in a Swiss jail awaiting an attempt by the US extradite him. However, lawyers for Geimer have urged for a dismissal at a California appeals court, bbc.co.uk reports. "Larry King has called, Oprah has called, every national network morning show has called. The LA Times has three reporters calling, as do nearly every major newspaper in the United States and abroad. The response - 'Please leave me alone.' But they won't," the court papers read. "The pursuit has caused her performance at her job to be interfered with and has caused the understandable displeasure of her employer and the real possibility that Samantha could lose her job. Leave her alone."
