Peter Andre has replied to Katie Price's recent claims that children with divorced parents are "lucky". Last week, Price admitted her kids, Junior, 5, and Princess, 3, received more gifts and treats following her split from Andre. "Any child that has parents who are divorced are lucky," she claimed during an interview with This Morning. "They get extra Christmas presents, birthday presents and extra trips."
Andre, however, has hit back at his ex's claims. "She said that as long as it happens before the kids are a certain age, it doesn't affect them. I really don't agree with this," Andre wrote in his New! magazine column. "I think that divorce absolutely affects kids, no matter what age they are and that if it can be avoided, it should be. Obviously for some couples, divorce is the only option and there's no other way for them. But I think, ideally, kids shouldn't have to go through it and if they do, they certainly shouldn't be classed as ‘lucky'. No amount of material possessions make up for the fact that you don't have both parents around you all the time."
