Peter Andre has said he was “happy” to hear about Katie Price and Alex Reid’s Las Vegas wedding. Price and Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex tied the knot in secret yesterday at the Wynn Hotel wedding chapel, although it is believed the happy event was also attended by OK! magazine photographers.
"As long as there's a good influence to the kids, I'm happy,” Andre explained during an interview on Chris Moyles’ Radio 1 show. "I don't have any negative feelings inside me. As long as they're happy, great. I've always said this, 'For the kids, I'm amicable'. I said it from the start and I'll say it now," Peter added when asked what his relationship with his ex-wife is like now. "You hear things like, 'No one talks to each other'. But when it comes to the kids, of course you do."
Earlier, a spokesman explained that the couple’s sudden decision to marry, after only announcing their engagement yesterday, was not conceived as a means to make money.
"Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place,” they explained to the BBC. “Their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other."
However, sources have told the Daily Mail that an ITV2 film crew were present at the wedding and that Katie is considering whether to broadcast the service.
"Her ITV2 camera crew were with her and could well have filmed the wedding,” the source explained. “But Katie is not sure yet whether she will allow the footage to be aired.”
