Peaches Geldof married in Las Vegas in order to secure a US visa the Daily Mail has claimed. The 19-year-old presenter wed American Max Drummey, drummer with Boston indie band Chester French, because she wants to escape her father and live in LA insiders told the paper though a statement released by Peaches' spokesperson insisted that the "very happy marriage" had the full support of her family and friends. "She loved being able to go out without the attention she gets in London, but her father wanted her home," a source said. "Peaches was adamant she wouldn't be told what to do. She decided she wants to stay in LA, but she realised she would have no chance of getting a visa [without marrying an American] because of recent drugs allegations."
