Paula Abdul is in talks to join a rival TV talent show days after leaving the judging panel of American Idol, Variety magazine report. So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed he had met Abdul and that he wants her to join his show. "No question," Nigel said when asked if he wanted her on his show adding that he knew of nobody else with her, "experience of being a dancer, of being a choreographer and of being a judge." However, he could be in for a fight for Abdul's services. After the first round of auditions for the new series of American Idol, head judge Simon Cowell admitted he was missing Paula. "She was like my best buddy on the show," Simon said. "And you only realise how much you miss somebody when you're not there. I am sad."
