Patrick Swayze, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer, has admitted he may only survive for another two years. The actor was diagnosed with the disease - one of the most virulent forms of cancer and often referred to as the silent killer due to the way it tends to remain undetected until it’s too late for effective treatment – said he was "scared" and "going through hell" in an interview with US TV star Barbara Walters but vowed to fight on. "Am I dying? Am I giving up? Am I on my death bed? Am I saying goodbye to people? No way,” he explained. “I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer but in the light." Before saying that he wanted to live long enough for a cure to be found but said that beating the disease for five years was "pretty wishful thinking".
