The agent for actor Patrick Swayze has confirmed that the star is undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer. However he went on to rubbish claims that the 55-year-old Ghost actor does not have "weeks to live", as some reports have claimed. Swayze's doctor George Fisher said in a statement, "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue."
Swayze found his way into the hearts of millions of women in 1987 as the lead in Dirty Dancing and his hit movie Ghost with Demi Moore has remained a romantic favourite since it was released in 1990.
