WARNING: This story will make you sad inside. A trendy LA pet shop has been forced to close its doors this week following allegations of animal cruelty. The pet shop, which supplies everyone from Britney Spears to Denise Richards with all their petly needs, has also failed to renew their permit to sell live animals for the last three years, and has just 48 hours to make a renewal. According to several gossip websites stateside, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has released undercover footage which links the pet store to a number of evil puppy mills in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa and Missouri. These mills are apparently full to bursting point of hundreds of baby doggies, all locked up in cages. We hear some dogs are forced to live out their whole lives in such conditions and breed non-stop with no hope of ever finding freedom or a nice family home… Sniff, sniff.
