Orlando Bloom's spokesman has confirmed the actor is to marry his girlfriend Miranda Kerr. Bloom and Australian Victoria's Secret model Kerr are both followers of Nichiren Buddhism - a Japanese branch of Buddhism - and are said to have started dating in 2007 after being introduced at a meeting of the Soka Gakkai International. "Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are getting married," Bloom's spokesman told Entertainment Tonight, while Kerr's confirmed the news to People magazine, "The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news. "It is a very exciting time for both of them."
