Claims that Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy have been approached to reform the original Sugababes line-up have been denied by Warner Records. Gossip site Holy Moly reported yesterday that the girls were holed up in meetings with the record company discussing an album for the reformed band and a solo deal for each girl. Former Madonna producers Stuart price and William Orbit were also said to have been approached about working on the project.
However, both Warner Records and Keisha’s management have released statements to deny the claims. "We haven't seen them here or heard anything about it. I don't think they've got the story right,” Warners explained, while Keisha’s management’s left no doubt a reunion isn’t on the cards. "Keisha is definitely, 100% not going to be involved in any kind of Sugababes reformation. Keisha has solo projects that she's working on which will be out next year."
The original line-up released the band’s first album, One Touch, and four top 40 singles in 200-2001.
