No more punishment for Jonathan Ross

Jonathan Ross will face no further punishment for his, and fellow DJ Russell Brand's prank calls to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs. Ross had already been suspended for 12 weeks without pay but after an investigation the BBC Trust announced they were drawing a line under the issue. "We are very clear that the director general Mark Thompson has taken the right action with respect to Jonathan Ross," the chair said in a statement. "We see nothing new in the evidence that we have received to go further than that."
