Nicolas Cage denies kidnapping

After allegations of dog napping in Kathleen Turner’s autobiography Nic Cage has denied he once stole a Chihuahua.

It might not have been the most-hotly anticipated autobiography of the year, but actress Kathleen Turner’s revelations about her Peggy Sue Got Married co-star Nicolas Cage have got the National Treasure actor hot under the collar. The 53 year old actress, best known for 80's classic Romancing The Stone, is claiming Cage caused numerous problems on set, was ‘arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, once for stealing a dog. He'd come across a chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket.’ An angry Cage issued a statement in reply saying "I have never been arrested for anything in my life, nor have I stolen a dog. I am reaching out to my fans, many of whom are children, so they know that I do not condone drunk driving or theft. The reason why you've never seen a mug shot of me is because it does not exist.’ A dog in his pocket? He was probably just pleased to see her.
