The 37-year-old said she thought Doherty had behaved like an "a*****e" during his relationship with Moss, which ended earlier this summer.
Since then the leggy Croydon-born model has been seen out and about with new man Jamie Hince, a musician with The Kills.
This fledging relationship has been welcomed by Campbell, who has branded it as good news.
"I hear Kate has a new man. That's fantastic - good for her. As long as he's not like that a******e Pete. Urgh," she told the Daily Mirror.
"I hated the way he treated her. I don't mind if her new guy's a rocker, as long as he looks after her. I'm so happy for Kate. She deserves a guy that will treat her right and appreciate her."
Moss has been just as gushing in praise of her friend, saying that Campbell is "always there for her".
"I speak to Naomi loads. We even spoke earlier today," Moss told the paper.
Campbell made her comments at the launch of Fashion for Relief, a fashion show to raise funds for British people affected by this summer's floods.
