Piers Morgan has insisted Susan Boyle has not suffered a breakdown after losing out to dance crew Diversity in the Britain’s Got Talent final. Morgan said reports on the Scottish singer’s mental health were “pretty exaggerated" and that her admission to the Priory clinic was "entirely voluntary" during an interview with GMTV. “She has gone in there to get some rest and get away from everyone, get away from the show, the media, the public and have some downtime. It was entirely voluntary," Morgan explained before defending Simon Cowell from claims that he sees Boyle simply as a meal ticket. “The idea that Simon is totally oblivious to the whole thing and just wants to make money out of her couldn't be further from the truth. Simon, like everyone, is very concerned about Susan. No-one could have predicted this."
