The Mission Impossible star tripped over on the set of the film, in which she co-stars with Ben Stiller, and accidentally hurt her foot, she revealed.
'I had an accident onset. I tripped in the sand and broke my toe,' Michelle said.
'I know Ben (Stiller) is meant to be the klutz, but in this case it was me!'
She added: 'The Farrelly Brothers (directors Bobby and Peter) don't like to make people feel embarrassed. You can be as clumsy as you like and they just laugh and make a joke out of it.'
Michelle stars as the object of Ben Stiller's character's affection in the romantic comedy, even though he meets her while on his honeymoon.
The Heartbreak Kid also sees Ben Stiller reunited with the Farrelly Brothers after their former collaboration in There's Something About Mary.
