Motown hits, Jay-Z and cello virtuoso Yo-Yo Ma are amongst the most-played tracks on Michelle and Barack Obamas iPods, the couple have revealed. The First Lady name-checked Grammy nominated R&B artist Ledisi, before confessing a love of the oldies in an interview with People magazine. "I like this young woman Ledisi. She's got that really pretty voice, Michelle explained. I always put on oldies. I put on some Motown remix, going back to the roots."
"My iPod is kind of stuck. I just haven't had time to sit down at a computer," President Obama added before explaining that he is reluctant to let his aides add music for him. "You know, there's [Personal Aide to the President] Reggie Love, but then all I get is Jay-Z, and I love Jay-Z, but once in a while I might want some Yo-Yo Ma or something."
Earlier this week, sources in the US claimed Michelle Obama was intensely jealous of Oprah Winfrey due to the chat show queens close friendship with the President.
