It looks as though Michael Jackson may posthumously become 2009’s top-selling artist. Since his death, the artist’s records have skyrocketed and, according to industry website Hits Daily Double, Sony Music has shipped more than eight million of his CDs globally since the singer died – and that doesn’t even include downloads. What with the repackaged titles, possibly some previously unreleased material and the DVDs of the concert rehearsals that are undoubtedly to follow, 2009 looks set to be a good year for Michael Jackson music.
