First she captured hearts as Tiffany in Eastenders, then surprised everyone with a number one record and a starring role in Love Actually but when Martine McCutcheon took the next step up to Hollywood things didn’t go so well. Speaking to Closer Magazine she’s been talking of her experience in LA. “Los Angeles is just brutal. Even Cameron Diaz is old hat. Once you do three movies, you're over." Martine explained, though we’re sure most people could name at least five successful Cameron Diaz movies at the drop of a hat! But she went on, “I can see why people like Kate Winslet have said they like spending time in the UK - Los Angeles just isn't the real world. Even though moving there wasn't a godsend for my career, I got the chance to take stock - I grew up a lot in that year.”
