Madonna has given £340,000 to a fund set up for the victims of the recent earthquake in Italy, People magazine report. The singer is the granddaughter of two former residents Pacento, one of the towns affected by the disaster, and donated the money following an appeal from the mayor. "I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from," Madonna explained. "My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes.”
