Lindsay Lohan will miss a court appearance after her passport was stolen at the Cannes Film Festival, her lawyer has said. In 2007, Lindsay was sentenced to one day in jail, community service and told to attend alcohol education classes after being convicted of drink driving and possession of drugs. However, earlier this week she was ordered to attend the Beverly Hills Superior Court on Thursday by judge Marsha Revel after failing to complete the classes in time and was warned she could face jail if she is found to have failed to comply with the rules of her probation."Her passport was stolen," Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told E! News. "She is doing everything in her power to get a temporary passport and get home." However, Maryse Nebatti, the Duty Officer in Marseille for the U.S. Embassy has confirmed to Radar Online that while Lindsay reported the passport stolen, she "has not requested a new passport."
Earlier this week, prior to the stolen passport, insiders claimed disruption from the volcanic ash cloud would stop Lindsay Lohan returning home in time for the court date.
