Lily Allen has said she has broken up with past boyfriends to give her the inspiration to write songs. During an interview with the Radio Times Lily admitted causing disruption in her private life to make it possible to write new tunes. "I've actually broken up with boyfriends for inspiration. When I hit a period of not being able to write music, I get up and walk away. It's pretty mean but it's true.”
