Leona Lewis discusses attack

Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis has spoken for the first time about being attacked at her recent London book signing.

Leona Lewis has brushed off her recent attack at a London book signing by insisting it “could have been worse”. Leona was signing copies of her autobiography, Dreams, at Waterstones in Piccadilly when she was reportedly punched by 29-year-old Peter Kowalczyk. Lewis received medical attention for minor injuries after the incident while Kowalczyk has since been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is due to face assault charges on 23rd November. Leona, making her first public comments about the incident, told Sky News, "I'm still alive, it's just something you have to deal with when you have fame and the positives far outweigh the negatives. I don't like to dwell on the negatives, I'm a very positive person."
