Kylie Minogue has spoken out in defence of her younger sister following complaints about Dannii’s comments to X Factor contestant Danyl Johnson this weekend. Judge Dannii was forced to make an on-air apology after suggesting that bisexual Johnson didn’t need to change the lyrics to And I Am Telling You to refer to a woman. “I'd like to apologise if I offended anyone,” Dannii explained. “I was joking about it to Danyl before the show and it was not meant to offend anyone, so I apologise for that.” However, big sister Kylie took to Twitter to say the controversy was just a storm in a teacup. "Just off the phone with my little sis,” Kylie wrote. “Both she and Danyl are surprised by how much unnecessary attention her innocent comment has garnered." X Factor producers have confirmed Dannii won’t be sacked for her comment.
