Kirstie Allsopp has challenged the Daily Mails editor to a debate after the paper printed an article that mocked her appearance and suggested she "appeared to be sporting a moustache". Among other insults the article, which has now been removed from the Mails website, it said: "The 37-year-old's upper lip looked suspiciously dark and unless she'd just finished a mug of hot chocolate and forgotten to wipe off the evidence, it appears she is need of some me time." Followers of Kirsties Twitter alerted her to the piece. "How charming of Mail. It's dark skin, not hair and is hormonal, from birth of my sons. Small price to pay for heavenly boys, Allsopp wrote. "Will Paul Dacre, Daily Mail editor, talk to me on R4 Today programme tomorrow to explain that piece in his paper? Fingers crossed Paul Dacre is up for debate re contemporary journalism. Go Kirstie.
