Kim Cattrall has admitted fans can be over the top when they meet her. Kim has played maneater Samantha Jones in the franchise since it began in 1998 and has said fans often confuse her with her character. "Anything from thongs to vibrators," Kim told the Mirror newspaper when explaining what fans of the show ask her about. "That's the least of it: fellatio, how to control the taste of a man's semen. I mean, once I was on a date, you know, and I just really have to say that that was a difficult period. But it's kind of calmed down. I'm at a fish counter and this guy comes up to me and says, ‘You know, I just have to thank you. Thank you so much. There's no way I could have really broached the subject about sex with my daughter without your help. Thank you.' I'm at the fish counter with the father of a 13-year-old girl.I mean, at the same time it's wonderful, but I'm like, ‘Just give me the clams and let me get the f**k out of here.'"
