Katie Price plans to abandon Twitter after receiving abusive messages from the social network’s users. Last November, after a negative public reaction to her divorce from Peter Andre, Katie posted a message inviting her Twitter critics to do their worst. “Come on haters attack me!” she wrote. “You're right, I'm always wrong. I'm hated. I never do anything right, sorry for that!!" However, a source now claims Price has decided enough is enough.
"Kate is a tough cookie and she's grown used to what she calls 'the haters' who are constantly taking pops at her,” an insider told the Daily Mirror. “But the level of abuse on Twitter can be intolerable. She really is in two minds about staying on the site. She gets lots of really lovely messages from her true fans who look up to her and they are an absolute pleasure. But in the same breath, there are the mindless idiots who bombard her with crude, abusive comments, which are there for all the public to see. She tries to ignore it but it's hard not to be upset."
In other Price Twitter news, Katie has hinted that her on/off relationship with current Celebrity Big Brother star Alex Reid could be back on. Gossip blogs reported last week that the couple’s romance was finished for good when cage fighter Alex talked about their relationship on screen, telling housemates it was "straight back to her house" the first night he met the former glamour model. However, Katie shrugged off the suggestion of a permanent split and insisted she will be "waiting with open arms" when Reid finally leaves the house. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder!" she tweeted. "Our relationship goes beyond Big Brother."
