Katie Price has been named as the new patron of the Duke of Essex Polo Tournament, the BBC report. Katie will officially start the match between the British and Argentinian teams at the Gaynes Park Estate on 4 July before presenting the trophies and taking part in a fashion show. "I would really like to shatter the image of polo as an elitist sport," Katie explained. "It does take an enormous amount of skill and courage to ride a polo pony in a competitive match, but it should be open to everyone to enjoy a great day like this, as well as raise a lot of money for charity." The tournament will raise money for the charity Vision, which helps blind children, a charity that Katie has donated over £1million to herself.
