When Mission Impossible 3 star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested in Dublin for attempting to catch a flight when drunk it was assumed the former hard partier had fallen off the wagon. But unfortunately it’s been confirmed an altogether sadder reason was to blame. Last night Meyers’ publicist confirmed his 50-year-old mother, Geraldine, had passed away in Cork, but would not release further details. Friends of Geraldine are said to be shocked, because she had not appeared to be suffering from any illness.
